First impression and comfort
Right out of the box, I was struck by the green color and overall look of this model, which at first glance seems a bit more robust, but in reality the shoe weighs only 246 g in size US 9 – and I like this contrast.
It feels light and natural on the foot, while also providing a sense of stability and confidence when stepping on it.
From the first time I put them on, I felt that the shoe comfortably hugged my foot and provided soft but firm guidance.
The inner padding feels comfortable even after a long run.
The feeling of running
The GT-2000 is typically a "calm" and stable shoe. It offers confidence with every step, without excessive softness or instability.
The cushioning is balanced – soft enough for comfortable longer runs, but firm enough that the shoe holds its shape and helps guide your stride.
The response is subtle but smooth – the shoes don't feel lazy, just not particularly nimble. Ideal for everyday training,
when I don't want to worry about pace and would rather go for a leisurely run. It holds up well on asphalt and paved roads.

Summary
I would describe the Asics GT-2000 14 as a reliable and very comfortable shoe for everyday running. It offers stability, a smooth stride and quality cushioning that won't tire you out even after a long workout.
Compared to the Novablast 5, they feel calmer and less playful, but they give a greater sense of security and support.
If you're looking for a shoe that will make you feel secure and comfortable even with higher volume, the GT-2000 14 is definitely worth trying.
