Diadora is an Italian manufacturer of sportswear and footwear. The tradition dates back to 1948, when the company's founder, Marcello Danieli, started working as a little boy in a shop.
Daniel was helped by his mother, and thanks to her help he was able to successfully launch his first product, which were climbing shoes. During the 1950s, the brand became well known throughout the Italian market.
During the economic boom of 1960, people began to enjoy prosperity and began to travel more to recreation. The Diadora brand is adapting to this period in the production of ski boots.
Furthermore, the Diadora brand introduced running shoes and shortly afterwards also tennis shoes. In the mid-1970s, the Diadora brand also began to produce products in the football category. The brand is currently sponsoring a number of high-ranking footballers, such as George Weah, Roberto Baggio, Giuseppe Signori, Francesco Totti, Roy Keane and Antonio Cassano.
