The best shoe care

Your shoes will last longer and look better if you take good care of them!

Before wearing new shoes, you should treat them with a suitable protective spray, especially if they are to be exposed to extreme conditions.

(high humidity, mud, etc.).

Use a shoehorn when putting on shoes. Pressing and deforming the heel collar will shorten the life of the shoe and limit its ability to protect your heel and ankle.

Change shoes daily. If you let the shoes rest for 24-48 hours after one day of wearing them, they will be able to dry out. This will reduce the growth of bacteria and fungi that cause foot odor and fungal diseases.

Sweat contains acids that can damage your shoes over time. Always wear quality socks with your shoes. After heavy use (during sports, in extreme heat, humidity or wetness), remove moisture by wiping the outside and inside of the shoe with a soft, clean cloth and let the shoes dry naturally. Stones and gravel that get caught on the sole can reduce grip and damage shoes. Carefully remove them with a toothpick or similar object, but do not to damage the sole.

Leather, synthetic leather, technical fabrics and adhesives can be damaged by excessive heat. The uppers can last twice as long as the midsoles, but when the cushioning in the midsole wears out, the shoes should be replaced. In case of demanding use (frequent sports activities, especially running) it can be 3 to 4 months.

Never wash shoes in the washing machine! More detailed information on shoe cleaning can be found here.
