The right choice of running shoes

Parameters that determine the correct type of running shoes.

Runner step

  • Neutral
  • Pronation

Determination

  • Road running
  • Trail running
  • Racing shoes
  • Barefoot

A reliable way to determine if pronation is low, medium, or high is to find out what type of foot we have.
All you need to find out is water.
Soak one foot in water, then press it on a sheet of wrapping paper that you have placed on the floor so that the wet foot leaves a footprint on the paper.

Types of feet

Foot with normal arch

This mark deserves your feet, if the impact does not deviate excessively to either side and the transition from the heel to the toe passes through the center of the foot. Neutral running shoes have a symmetrically designed midsole, which it is not inclined or reinforced in any way.

For this type of foot, we recommend neutral shoes.

Low arched foot

With this type of impact, the foot swings inwards after loading. Pronation is a natural phenomenon in which the foot tries to cope with the shocks caused by running. Once the deflection occurs, there is a lot of pressure on the Achilles tendon and the stability of the foot decreases.  The upper is significantly lighter with a lower one number of reinforcements. The shoes that solve this problem are referred to as "pronation", or "with pronation control".

We recommend shoes with pronation tread for this type of foot.

Foot with a high arch

The high-arched foot leaves an imprint with a very narrow or interrupted middle part. The foot is often inflexible and less so
absorbs shock. This makes it possible to create greater dangerous forces, which is the foot (as well as the knees and hips)
exposed.

For this type of foot, we recommend shoes with a neutral tread.
