What does this mean in practice?

If you love the feeling of running on clouds, you'll love the combination of foams in the Kayano 33. For the first time ever, ASICS combines the proven FF BLAST™ PLUS foam with an all-new, premium FF BLAST™ MAX compound.

  • Maximum cushioning: Under the heel you will find a generous 40 mm of material that reliably filters out hard impacts on the asphalt

1. New FLUIDSUPPORT™ technology

The biggest change in a generation.

Instead of classic "correcting" the foot's movement, the shoe works with the runner's natural movement, providing support only when needed. The result is a smoother, more natural run without the feeling of a hard impact on your stride.

2. Double-layer cushioning

For the first time in the history of the Kayano model.

  • Top layer: FF BLAST™ MAX: maximum softness, higher energy return
  • Bottom layer: FF BLAST™ PLUS: greater stability, more controlled impact

The combination of both foams creates a soft, yet stable footing.

3. PureGEL™ under the heel

New generation GEL technology.

PureGEL™ is approximately 65% softer than original GEL and helps to absorb shock more effectively upon impact.

4. Redesigned upper

New engineered mesh offers: higher breathability, better flexibility, more comfortable foot fit

Additionally, ASICS has combined the tongue with the upper construction for a more secure fit.

5. HYBRID ASICSGRIP™

The sole combines two types of rubber: excellent grip, higher durability
