Ideal for active kids, the ASICS HYPERGEL-YU GS are running shoes which boast a winning combination of style and protection for everyday wear. HyperGEL is distributed across the shoe for added comfort, adding an extra layer of cushioning and rebound so little ones can move around without anything holding them back.
ASICS HYPERGEL-YU GS includes many of the same innovative features as our adult design, including a SpEVA 45 insole that improves bounce-back for a lighter feeling underfoot. This technology also decreases midsole breakdown over time, meaning these shoes really are built to last. The midsole is created from our traditional EVA material for extra cushioning and shock absorption.
These shoes include our classic Trusstic moulded component for added support. Coupled with the contoured midsole, it keeps the feet stable and helps to prevent any twisting as they hit the ground. The trail specific outsole means these shoes can handle any hard surfaces, making them the ideal choice for everyday wear. For additional stability we've added an internal heel counter, to hold the foot in a comfortable position all day long.
These shoes feature some of our premium comfort technologies, including a snug sock-like fit and streamlined mesh upper for extra breathability. But their trendy design means they'll also look good in the playground, with classic ASICS branding adding an extra touch of style for younger fans.

GEL™
GEL™ technology from inert polymers to form fatigue-resistant silicone reduces impacts by absorbing their energy. This results in very effective damping resulting in excellent comfort. It is strategically placed under the heel ( so-called Rearfoot GEL™ ), allowing a smooth transition to the toe, where it improves impact reduction when moving forward ( so-called Forefoot GEL™ ). TRUSSTIC™
TRUSSTIC™ is a support unit integrated into the midsole under the arch of the foot that provides torsional stability to the middle of the shoe and prevents it from twisting.

SpEVA 45 Lasting
SpEVA midsole material is an improved version of the traditional ASICS EVA material.
It is composed of rubber-like macromolecules and is adapted to quickly regenerate and return to its original shape after deformation after contact with the surface. Thus, the landing during the next step is effectively damped and the direct movement of the leg is accelerated.
