The Asics GEL-SONOMA 8 GTX men's running shoes were designed specifically for trail running enthusiasts. This durable model is a true companion on unpaved forest paths thanks to its excellent grip. The distinctive pattern ensures a stable and confident step when climbing or descending hills even in the most demanding terrain. The midsole is made of AMPLIFOAM PLUS™ foam throughout, which is complemented by the well-known silicone GEL™ technology for excellent shock absorption from every step forward.
The upper made of breathable technical mesh ensures good air circulation for more comfortable wear. The insoles are dyed using a technology that reduces water consumption by up to 33% and carbon emissions by up to 45%, compared to conventional dyeing technology. The classic lace-up lacing fixes the feet in the shoes very well. A great advantage of this model is the waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane, which provides protection against water or mud.

GEL™
GEL™ technology from inert polymers to form fatigue-resistant silicone reduces impacts by absorbing their energy. This results in very effective damping resulting in excellent comfort. GORE-TEX®
The GORE-TEX® membrane contains 1.4 million microscopic pores per square centimeter, which are approximately 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water and 700 times wider than a water vapor molecule. This ensures that the Gore-Tex® membrane is completely waterproof from the outside and permeable to sweat from the inside. The oil-repellent substances present in the membrane prevent the absorption of body substances.

This foam is primarily used in Asics running shoes intended primarily for training or recreational running. The big advantage is the great price-performance ratio, where you get reliable comfort for a reasonable price.
