Salomon S/LAB ULTRA GLIDE 2 COURTNEY are premium trail shoes created in collaboration with ultrarunner Courtney Dauwalter. They are designed primarily for long and ultra trail runs, where they offer maximum comfort, significant cushioning and stability even in more demanding terrain. The midsole combines optiFOAM™ and dynamic foam optiFOAM™+ , which uses a mixture of PEBA and EVA for a more sensitive and flexible tread. The relieveSPHERE technology with wavy geometry helps distribute pressure under the foot and reduce fatigue during long runs. The All-Terrain CONTAGRIP® outsole with 4mm lugs provides sure grip on wet, dry, hard and unpaved surfaces. The durable and breathable Matryx® Micro upper with Kevlar® fibers helps keep the foot stable even during fast descents.

Salomon uses its advanced optiFOAM² cushioning technology in its road running shoes, where maximum stability, cushioning and good energy return are needed. 👟🔥
This material has a two-phase composition in the form of two foams of different densities. The upper layer is softer to provide good comfort, while the lower layer stands out for its stiffness and reactivity to be more stable and return more energy. The midsole made of this foam is also able to absorb microshocks well, thus reducing muscle fatigue.
The optiFOAM² foam also stands out for its lightness, which you will appreciate especially during long runs, when your legs will not hurt so much at the finish line.
