Women's outdoor shoes Hoka ANACAPA 2 LOW GTX W will be your reliable partner for hikes in the hills and mountains. Thanks to the GORE-TEX® waterproof membrane, the shoes are not afraid of bad weather and do not let water or mud inside. The midsole made of EVA foam has significant shape stability and durability, which contributes to a longer lifespan of the shoes. It is 30% made from sugar cane. This foam part of the shoe has a special META-ROCKER geometry to balance the difference between the heel and the toe, so it efficiently uses the energy from the run and propels you forward. A more natural and lighter movement is also ensured by the extended HUBBLE HEEL®, which is designed to absorb shocks from every step. The special elongated Swallowtail™ heel geometry offers more stability. The high-performance Vibram® Megagrip outsole offers extreme grip on dry surfaces and is inspired by tires.

The materials used to make the shoes come partly from sustainable and recycled sources.

ADVANTAGES:

  • waterproof membrane
  • breathability
  • durable midsole

GORE-TEX®

GORE-TEX®

The GORE-TEX® membrane contains 1.4 million microscopic pores per square centimeter, which are approximately 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water and 700 times wider than a water vapor molecule. This ensures that the Gore-Tex® membrane is completely waterproof on the outside and permeable to sweat on the inside.

The grease-repellent substances present in the membrane prevent the absorption of body substances.

Shoes with a GORE-TEX® membrane will keep your feet dry and at the right temperature in all weather conditions and provide perfect climate comfort. They are long-lasting waterproof, relatively breathable and protect the foot even in the most difficult conditions.

At Hoka, this technology appears in trail and hiking shoes, where they are expected to come into contact with rain or mud.

HUBBLE HEEL®

HUBBLE HEEL®

Extended heel . HUBBLE HEEL® is an extended heel that is designed to sufficiently absorb the impact and thus eliminate its negative impact on the body. In this way, the technology ensures a smoother transition between the heel and the toe.

META-ROCKER

META-ROCKER

META-ROCKER technology features a specially modified midsole geometry. It is therefore a rounding of the midsole, the so-called "cradle", which compensates for the difference between the heel and the toe. Technology helps to use energy efficiently at every step and drives us forward.

Swallowtail™

Swallowtail™

The Swallowtail™ designation informs that a special heel geometry has been used in the shoe. The heel is extended and thus ensures greater stability and space for the foot to hit the mat.

EVA

EVA

The name EVA stands for Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate. It is a type of copolymer that combines the properties of plastic and rubber. Sports brands use this material in the form of foam, from which they make midsoles and sometimes insoles for shoes.

The widespread use of this foam is due to its excellent properties.

  • lightness one of the biggest advantages that affects the overall weight of the shoe
  • shock absorption cushions every step forward, which your knees will especially appreciate; it can absorb shocks from your steps and thus increases comfort when running and walking (even over longer distances)
  • flexibility - the EVA material is very flexible and elastic, allowing natural movement and adaptation to the foot
  • durability - in general, this material is resistant to cracking and wear, but of course after really long use it can easily get crushed
  • thermal insulation - keeps the foot warm in cold weather, and in summer resists hot surfaces
  • water resistance - the closed cell structure of EVA foam does not absorb water, so this material is also used in outdoor shoes
  • affordability - compared to advanced cushioning materials, the production of EVA foam is relatively cheaper, which is also reflected in the resulting price of the shoe
