Womens outdoor shoes Hoka KAHA 2 FROST MOC GTX W beige
The Hoka KAHA 2 FROST MOC GTX W women's outdoor shoes are a reliable companion for winter hikes in the popular highlands. You will certainly be attracted to these shoes at first sight by their atypical design with quilted panels with soft insulation, so you will not only look stylish, but you will also be really warm in the shoes.
Another advantage of these shoes is the waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane, which will not let moisture, mud or snow into the shoes. The durable Vibram® Megagrip rubber sole will hold firmly on unpaved roads, so you can confidently go to the forest or snowy hills. Comfort with every step is ensured by a high EVA midsole, which is known for its durability and good cushioning. The wearing comfort is further increased by the quick lacing, which is easy to operate even with gloves and ensures excellent foot fixation. The META-ROCKER geometry ensures natural forward movement.
These durable winter shoes are designed for cold weather down to -32°C.

GORE-TEX®
The GORE-TEX® membrane contains 1.4 million microscopic pores per square centimeter, which are approximately 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water and 700 times wider than a water vapor molecule. This ensures that the Gore-Tex® membrane is completely waterproof on the outside and permeable to sweat on the inside.
The grease-repellent substances present in the membrane prevent the absorption of body substances.
Shoes with a GORE-TEX® membrane will keep your feet dry and at the right temperature in all weather conditions and provide perfect climate comfort. They are long-lasting waterproof, relatively breathable and protect the foot even in the most difficult conditions.
At Hoka, this technology appears in trail and hiking shoes, where they are expected to come into contact with rain or mud.

META-ROCKER
META-ROCKER technology features a specially modified midsole geometry. It is therefore a rounding of the midsole, the so-called "cradle", which compensates for the difference between the heel and the toe. Technology helps to use energy efficiently at every step and drives us forward.

EVA
The name EVA stands for Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate. It is a type of copolymer that combines the properties of plastic and rubber. Sports brands use this material in the form of foam, from which they make midsoles and sometimes insoles for shoes.
The widespread use of this foam is due to its excellent properties.
- lightness → one of the biggest advantages that affects the overall weight of the shoe
- shock absorption → cushions every step forward, which your knees will especially appreciate; it can absorb shocks from your steps and thus increases comfort when running and walking (even over longer distances)
- flexibility - the EVA material is very flexible and elastic, allowing natural movement and adaptation to the foot
- durability - in general, this material is resistant to cracking and wear, but of course after really long use it can easily get crushed
- thermal insulation - keeps the foot warm in cold weather, and in summer resists hot surfaces
- water resistance - the closed cell structure of EVA foam does not absorb water, so this material is also used in outdoor shoes
- affordability - compared to advanced cushioning materials, the production of EVA foam is relatively cheaper, which is also reflected in the resulting price of the shoe
