BOOST™ technology is made up of thousands of unique TPU capsules that work together to create the softest, most reliable cushioning adidas has ever created. These miniature energy capsules, with an innovative structure, retain their lightweight cushioning properties better than any other material.
Compared to standard EVA foam, which hardens at low temperatures and loses strength at high temperatures, the BOOST™ midsole is up to three times more resistant to temperature changes. BOOST™ foam provides greater energy return than any other foam cushioning used in running shoes.

Nowadays, it's very hard to imagine adidas shoes without BOOST™ foam - a revolutionary technology that first appeared in 2013. BOOST™ was unlike anything developed before, and its energy return gave running a completely different dimension.
Are you wondering what BOOST™ actually means?
The technology is the product of the adidas Innovation Team (AIT) and German chemists BASF. BOOST™ was created to combine the previously contradictory benefits of soft and responsive cushioning. At the time, EVA foam had been the industry standard for performance running shoes . With BOOST™, the developers set out to change all that, introducing a midsole made of thousands of expanded particles that work together to provide energy return with every step.
BOOST™ was officially incorporated into the adidas running line in 2013. Over the following years, this performance foam made a name for itself as a running icon, eventually becoming so popular that it broke through into the world of sports and streetwear culture.
