Hoka One One produces both low profile and maximally padded shoes for roads, trails and all terrains; Throughout its product line, Hoka shoes retain features such as low weight to cushion ratio and midsole and outsole geometry designed to support their own stability and effective stride.
Hoka One One is a sports footwear company from France that designs and sells running shoes. It was founded in 2009 in Annecy, France. Founded by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard, former Salomon employees, they tried to design a shoe that would allow them to run faster, and created a model with an oversized sole that had more cushioning than other running shoes at the time. The shoes are named after the Maori phrase, which loosely means "to fly above the ground".
