Details

The upper part of most shoes is made up of several parts that are sewn together. While the Primeknit upper is knitted as one unit . Due to the fact that Primeknit is a knitted fabric, it brings the same benefits as a sock, i.e. it fits perfectly to the leg, creates great support and at the same time has sufficient breathability . A fusion yarn is used to make this upper, which allows the shoe to offer flexibility, stability and support.

The first discovery of this technology dates back to 2010, when adidas developers discovered a knitted glove at the German trade fair, which was created from thermoplastic fuse yarns. The glove was - flexible and stable. The adidas developers liked this technology so much that they decided to try it on the upper of the shoe. Subsequently , at the time of the Olympic Games in London 2012 , the first model with a Primeknit upper - adiZero Primeknit - was launched.

These sneakers were only available from July 27th to August 12th (the length of the Olympics) and were limited to 2,012 pairs.
