VIBRAM® MEGAGRIP with LITEBASE construction is an innovative technology of the original VIBRAM® MEGAGRIP technology. Its main goal was to reduce the weight of the sole by reducing the thickness of the rubber material, while keeping the lug layout and shape unchanged to maintain the same level of performance.
VIBRAM® MEGAGRIP with LITEBASE construction has a lower rubber thickness of 40-50%, namely from the original 1.7 mm to 0.5 / 0.9 mm, depending on the type of sole. The weight was reduced by 25-30%.
Reducing the thickness does not affect the quality of the sole or increase the risk of laceration. This innovation brings a very light sole with the characteristics of the original VIBRAM® MEGAGRIP technology.
