Max Air is part of the Nike Air family. This technology is designed to provide maximum protection and damping of the musculoskeletal system.
Shoes with Max Air technology have a large bag filled with air located in the midsole, which in addition to shock absorption reduces the weight of the shoe and increases energy return.
The Max Air unit was the first visual expression of Nike's Air technology. Inspired by the avant-garde, raw architecture of the Center Pompidou building in Paris, Hatfield created an Air Max unit that is a kind of window to the foot. He thus started a real revolution in the footwear industry.
