The collaboration between adidas and Continental has been going on since 2011. Together they have already set three marathon world records, one Guinness World Record and countless satisfied customers . It is so evident that this collaboration works!
The first adidas shoe with the Continental™ running sole was designed for trail running. Since then, many other performance running shoe models have been added to the range, where good grip on the surface is especially important.
Continental has over a century of experience working with tire rubber compounds. After being approached by adidas to collaborate, their development engineers began studying natural and synthetic rubber compounds that could enhance athletes' performance, regardless of weather conditions, temperature or surface.
The resulting soles offer 30% better traction, reduce slippage and enable faster forward movement.
