The adidas ADIZERO BOSTON 12 men's running shoes are a special edition dedicated to the traditional Boston Marathon , which takes place every year on the third Monday in April. For this reason, the shoes are suitable for running medium and long distances. The midsole consists of light suspension Lightstrike PRO and a new version of the durable material LIGHTSTRIKE 2\.0 made of EVA - this combination of foams will give you exceptional comfort and support speed with every step. The highly resistant Continental™ rubber sole offers excellent traction on the road surface - in all weather! The ENERGYRODS 2\.0 carbon support element gives you stability in the heel area and great bounce and flexibility in the forefoot.
The upper is made of breathable functional mesh. This material also offers very good reinforcement in key areas of the shoe, which guarantees excellent fixation of the middle part of the foot and flexibility of the toe. The lacing on the laces reinforces every step forward even more and thus ensures the safety of movement. These shoes are made from at least 50% recycled materials.

ENERGYRODS 2.0
The ENERGYRODS 2.0 element is the backbone of the shoe! This is an alternative approach to classic carbon plates. In this case, adidas took inspiration from the shape of the metatarsal bones in the feet, making this element very flexible, putting less stress on the legs while still providing the runner with plenty of energy to propel them forward.
The rear part of this layer serves primarily to provide support and stability to the tarsal bones and the foot in general. The front section consisting of five rods offers support, increased movement and traction.
This technology works in perfect harmony with Lightstrike Pro cushioning.
